About ten years ago during an altar call at my then home church (shout out to Victory Temple COGIC) I had a vision. In that vision my wife, Dana, and I were in a glass or see-through bubble hovering over the altar. Everyone below us could see everything we were doing on the inside of that glass bubble. At that time, I had no idea that I would be a pastor, but I knew God had called us to be leaders and that vision was just a preview of the life that we would have where people would be able to peak in and view what was going on.
After sharing the vision with Dana I didn’t put too much thought into it. Every blue moon it would come across my mind and it seemed to be nothing more than a reminder that people would always be watching, and I had to be careful how I lived my life.
Recently, I was in Houston working and when I got to the hotel that evening I began to check my emails. To my surprise there was an email from the mall where our church was located. When I opened the email there was a letter attached that stated our lease was being early terminated and we had a little over thirty days to move out. Out of all the pastor conferences and Bible college courses I had taken, I don’t remember being prepared for that email. I will share more about that in the next blog. A few weeks after receiving the news God reminded me of that vision inside the glass bubble. Finally, the vision became clear as day. The glass bubble wasn’t just about people being able to see the life of Dana and I on a platform, but it was about inviting people to look in, see and learn from the good, the bad, and the ugly.
So, there you have it. The Glass Bubble is a platform to share my journey as a husband, father, Christian and a Pastor. Reality blogging is what I will call it. My prayer is that as I share victories & failures that it will help you become a better spouse, parent, Christian and person. Until next time…Stay Linked!
